Blast from the past

This is probably about 20 years old or older. Put it together and brush painted the colors on the fuselage and then chalked the rest of it. I still think it looks really cool and have actually been trying to find this and several other old Star Wars kits to put together again now that I'm older and much more competent. I need to craft a stand for this as the wings don't really support the body and the wife won't let me hang it from the ceiling. The neatest feature is the little R2D2 that pulls out and is completely hand painted. Back when I was young and my hands didn't shake. I couldn't get a good image of it though and will try again with the better camera sometime.

  1. Is that the AMT kit? I used to have one of those in College. Unfortunately, models do no survive moves (or college) very well. Yours looks much nicer than the one I had though.

  2. Yea I believe it is. It's not the snap-tite one that is prevalent among Star Wars models though. I have a crap ton of Star Wars stuff in bins that has been following me around everywhere. This has survived rather well. I also have Darth Vader's Tie Fighter, a Snowspeeder, and I still have the guy to the Speeder Bike but the actual Bike must have been all smashed up because I couldn't find it anywhere.
